From the Principal

  • Welcome to Holy Family Catholic School – recognized as the oldest, continuous, organized Catholic School in the state of Texas.

Since 1847 we have stood for excellence in education, founded by the Ursuline Sisters and continued through the dedicated work of other religious orders, including the Dominicans, the Jesuits, and the Christian Brothers. We seek to form the whole child intellectually, morally, spiritually, and physically.

Our program is formed by both the Gospel of Jesus Christ and authentic teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, with the ultimate goal of preparing students for future success in High School and adult life. Our mission is to form the whole child by shaping our students into future saints and scholars.

We offer rigorous academic programs for students in grades PreK-3 through 8th grade. We are accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference Educational Department, which is recognized by TEA. We belong to the network of 52 Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.

We hope you consider partnering with us in the educational journey of your child and allow us the privilege of working with your family. Call our office at (409) 765-6607  to schedule an appointment.

At HFCS we are more than just a school, we are a family.

    Blessings,

    Mrs. Jeanna Porter
    Principal
